I am a free bird when it comes to blogging. I follow my mood swings rather than a strict discipline of posting every Tuesday and Thursday and at sharp 11 am to get maximum traffic. However, I have a head full of ideas but this habit of procrastination is difficult to do away with. Well, ASUS thought I am a worthy blogger and people love what I write and stay engaged with me so they wanted to know my opinion on the newly launched ASUS Zenpad 8.
Trust me, initially I thought it was some sort of a scam mail. You have no idea how many lotteries and properties of dying uncles I have already won if Gmail is to be trusted. A few quick tweets and social media bloggers gamut confirms that this is for real. I was overjoyed. It was the last week of last month of last year when I got a mail. It was like a signal from God asking me to stay devoted to the service of blogging. Maybe somewhere I was genuinely touching some hearts and mind.
I received ASUS Zenpad 8 neatly packed in a box. It is a beauty in black – that was my first reaction while opening the box. And the black cover cum audio box cum stand is simply sleek and classy. Next hour was spent in switching it on, synching in with my wi-fi, and personalizing it. Here’s my first-hand experience of using ASUS Zenpad 8.
Intuitive Zenpad UI
I have always fretted over changing my phone due to mindboggling processes to personalize it. And, being a confused and cumbersome blogger that I am, I have my thoughts and social media scattered everywhere. The intuitive Zenpad UI made my task so much easier. The apps were segmented into Productivity, Social, Shopping, Communication, Business, Entertainment and Social. I was bowled over. It was like opening your wardrobe where all your clothes have been neatly arranged and stacked – formal wear, daily wear, and traditional wear – Woah! I need an app for that too J
I am a blogger with a two year old naughty son who becomes more active seeing a gadget in mommy’s hand. Obviously ASUS Zenpad 8 caught his attention and he was sitting beside me all through waiting for me to activate the device so that he can lay his hands on it. Yes, he has a birth right on whatever mommy possesses, even the nail paints. Well, that is another messy story. Now, he has a tendency to unknowingly make calls to my chemist or vegetable vendor or milkman (yes, these are guys who are on my speed dial and are frequently called) that ends up into an embarrassing conversation telling them bhaiyya galti se bacche ne laga diya tha. Or, imagine the child being exposed to videos sent by all ladies group on whatsapp.
Thank ASUS for getting into a mommy’s mind and giving a Kids Mode. Manage parental control as per your requirement and you are sorted.
Learnt the Art of Video Blogging
Video blogging is the form of blogging that was in my mind since some time now but my mobile phone was a little shy to help me with the same. You know, how my mobile has weak eyes (5MP main camera and 0.2 MP front camera). ASUS Zenpad opened a completely new form of video blogging for me. With its specifications equivalent to a DSLR camera, I now have no regrets of being left behind by ace bloggers who create paintings with their pictures.
8MP Auto focus, large aperture f/2.0, pixel master camera for brighter photo and video upto 400% with, low light mode, zero shutter lag and manual mode support is where state of the art ASUS camera stands at. I didn’t believe it and took it for testing. During my evening walk every day I meet a bunch of kids who sell flowers and diya on Ganga ghat. I have been thinking about doing a story on them. With ASUS Zenpad in hand, I decided to get initiated into video blogging. It was late evening, quite dark, around 7 pm when I collected the kids and did a video on them.
The video came out really well and with minimum effort. I just concentrated on the concept; the technicalities were taken care of by ASUS Zenpad 8. My first video blog was accepted quite well. I am now addicted to video blogging. It is a better medium to engage with your readers. Now, I look for stories in everything and just shoot whenever and whatever clicks with me.
A Writer Is A Reader First
No writer can ever succeed without being a good reader first. I am a proud owner of Kindle and was excited to see pre-installed Kindle app in ASUS Zenpad 8. Simply sign in and you are synced. It made my life easier and sorted. I can read anywhere, anytime.
Stress Buster With HD Quality Video
My TV is literally sabotaged by Motu Patlu, Shiva, Chota Bheem and Doremon type of cartoon characters. I hardly ever get to see one movie in full go. But with ASUS Zenpad I have my “me-time” on my terms and conditions. I can now watch movies, short films (my absolute favourite) and even AIB episodes with headphones. I have spent many a night catching up on missed movies and serials with Zenpad J
For a blogger, these short movies are a great learning medium to hone your writing skills and broaden your mind’s horizon. The front speaker with dts HD Premium sound MP 3, you get the surround sound effect and real fun of watching a movie in an 8 inch super bright HD screen. No more remote fights for me. I have my personal TV in my hand.
I am in love with this new gadget, ASUS Zenpad 8. It motivates me to blog and explore more. I have been exploring Rishikesh on foot with Zenpad 8 in hand, and it gives me a real kick. I have a blogging buddy now.
