Hi,
I am so excited! This is my first ever published interview. Baggout organized a blogging contest and for my love for creativity, visibility and prizes, I jumped in. Baggout asked us to choose a personality and write about their shopping experience.
Recently I have taken a liking to mythology. Having read Chitra Banerjee’s Palace of Illusions, Devdutt Pattnaik Vishu and of course The Shiva Trilogy by Amish Tripathi. Infact I was crazily readily the last book, The Oath of Vayuputras when this contest came around.
So highly inspired by all these books, I churned up my poor version of mythology and wtote online sales, The Secret Love Story of Mahabharta
A friend in JNU once said that writing is all about bringing together two unusual things. enthused by those words I wrote the article bringing the present age technology with yester years aspiration.
Keeping my fingers crossed as Baggout will be declaring results this Monday.
I will keep you posted. I would need friends to cheer if I win and shoulder to rest if I lose 🙂
Well, interview with Baggout was fun. They had some interesting questions up their sleeves. Here’s an excerpt:
BG- How long have you been blogging? What do you like most about blogging?
Gitanjali- I have been blogging for almost 7 years now. I have worked on both personal and corporate blogs. The best thing about blogging is the instant emotional connect it creates. You speak from heart and it gets to people immediately
BG- What is your Craziest Purchase in last three months?
Gitanjali- I am an Army officer’s wife and we get posted to such weird places that sometimes even a regular item looks like a search for black diamonds. It was my son’s party and I wanted return gifts but couldn’t find anything decent within my budget. So I booked 25 pieces of return gifts online and kept calling them insanely to deliver on time, for I placed the order just 2 days before.
BG- If you were shipwrecked on a desert island what five items would you want with you?
Gitanjali- I can’t live without my mobile so that is a must (and calling is the last thing I do through my mobile). Infact it would be such fun to whatsapp and blog live when I am stranded alone on a desert island…hahaha
Well, apart from that I want my Kindle (how else will I kill time alone), a big packet of snacks to munch on, picture of my son (for I am gonna miss him badly) and my toiletry kit. With these things I am sorted and ready to enjoy the misadventure.
