They were holding hands and driving on a beautiful road, their hearts brimming with love and eyes wandering in dreams.
From nowhere the truck came and BANG.
She woke up in a hospital and heard her family sobbing, whispering, happy; a lot of mixed emotions.
She was alive, yes she was alive but there was something missing.
She had to wait for someone to die and donate their eyes so that she could see colours of life again but atleast she was alive.

Love this piece!
Thanks. Glad you liked 🙂
Indeed a paradox, Gitanjali.
Organ-donation demand is much more than the supply…
Its simple science. Energy only changes form. To become liquid it must die as gas. This is how transformation happens.
oh! though i wish somebody donates eyes I cannot wish that somebody dies. 🙁
Yes this is the paradox Indrani that got me thinking.
Ah, so sad to read this. It is the fact though, many people are living a life for someone to give their eyes to them, but then when, it is not known to them…
Yes. I always found it a kind of paradox situation. One should die to give life to other.
One family loses hope so that the other family gets their hope back.
