Tanvi’s next and final destination for this leg of journey was Auroville. Goa to Pondicherry was a long run and it was interesting how Tanvi was challenging herself every time taking a bit more distance, a bit more driving and lots of confidence for her solo trip. One step at a time she laid a strong foundation for the life ahead. Tanvi had come a long way from being this shy girl from inside faking to be society smart from outside to being a girl who was same inside out. She had become wise and resilient that gives her real inner strength – the mental strength – that keeps you going in the worse of odds.
Tanvi took NH4 to reach Auroville driving through the IT city Bengaluru. She stopped overnight at Bengaluru and caught up with ex-collegues who had shifted companies from Delhi. Every corporate sector employee should once work in Bengaluru. It is the mecca of corporate life. Tanvi had got job offers from Bengaluru in the past but she declined each one of them for she could never gather the strength to settle and manage in a new city, all by herself, and then secondly explaining to her parents that she plans to move out without marriage was a tad difficult. Well, she has no regrets of the past now and also the fear of strange city has gone. Tanvi was in a comfortable position to enjoy the city.
Tanvi’s friends were all gung ho about her new chiselled and tanned Greek Goddess look. They were raving about her guts to travel solo and when Tanvi shared few of her experiences they were simply bowled over. They couldn’t believe that the Tanvi they had known earlier could undergo such an adventurous journey – their chubby and over the top dilliwalli Tanvi had changed for sure. They strongly suggested her to start her travel blog so that she can inspire people for many a think about solo trips but then the idea gets lost because of anxiousness over safety and other concerns of the road. The idea stuck with Tanvi.
Bengaluru’s night life is worth enjoying. Corporate employees cool off the heat of office with beer. This is a reasonably safe city for women. Though an expensive city but a good weather all around the year and abundance of high paying jobs make up for it. In Bengaluru there is always a race for survival of the fittest so you must keep moving at it. When it comes to amenities, this is a you name it and you have it type of a cosmopolitan metro city. This city is designed to serve the corporate culture. Bengaluru keeps buzzing with startup ideas shared, discussed and implemented over rounds of beer. Truly, a happening city for entrepreneurial minds!
Over conversation with ex-colleagues who were lamenting about targets to achieve and stress of job, Tanvi realized that she can now never go back to the corporate rut. She has walked way ahead of this rat race.
